Mission Statement

It is the mission of Fellowship Baptist Church to glorify God by reaching people with the good news of Jesus Christ, that they may come to know, worship, and serve God.

Fellowship Baptist Church was founded in 1950 by a group of Christians in the Oak Grove community who wanted to have a Baptist Church in their neighborhood.  Since then the church has grown to around 750 members.

The worship style of Fellowship Baptist Church is that of a blended nature.  We use both praise choruses, as well as hymns from our Baptist Hymnal.  We also have a choir that sings in both morning worship services.  Also, there are those that share in special music on some Sunday's.

Our Sunday School offers classes for all ages from the crib to the senior adults.  Included in these classes is a class for college and career students, taught by a husband and wife team.

In August of 2006, the church voted to purchase land two miles up the road so that our church could be expanded.  This land is projected to be paid off by August of 2007, and at that time, the church will go into the building process.

Fellowship Baptist Church has had a very strong history, and as we look at the future of the church, we believe God is going to do great things.
